Static Line

Static Line Information

Static Line is considered the traditional method of training for someone interested in learning to skydive. This method is a less expensive way to make your first jump before you advance to freefall. You will have a half-day class and jump the same afternoon. The first jump is from 3500 feet. As you leave the aircraft the parachute is opened by the static line which is attached to the aircraft. There is no freefall involved in this type of jump. You steer the parachute to the landing area on the airport with radio back up. You may do as many static line jumps as you want before your Transition to Freefall jumps, or you may transition to AFF after your first static line. Maximum weight is 225 lbs. with height and weight proportional.  Minimum age limit is 18 years old.  For rates, click here.
